Faith Crossing got its start through a softball team in a community league. Several members of the softball team joined the church planting team. We still have our softball team, and it continues to serve as a great entry point to the church,
Faith Crossing merged with Friendship United Methodist and was chartered on May 15, 2012 with 150 professing members. Before the merger, Faith Crossing met first at Gray's Creek Elementary and later at a warehouse on Rushing Road in Denham Springs. We have always understood that the church is not a building, but a community of believers. Our members are open to meeting anywhere we can share Good News and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our ministry is to reach the least, the last, and the lost in Livingston Parish; therefore, community outreach is very important to the mission of the church. Faith Crossing assists the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank by hosting a mobile food pantry the third Sunday of the month, most months. One of our church members who works for the food bank made arrangements to set up the giveaways from our parking lot.
Faith Crossing is a diverse congregation that includes and accepts people of every race, color, and creed.
Come grow with us!
