The safety of our congregation is our #1 priority!

Message from Pastor John:

Dear Members and Friends of Faith Crossing United Methodist Church:

I am sure you have been following the news regarding the Coronavirus and our state’s efforts to contain it. Yesterday afternoon Bishop Harvey sent out guidance that suggested churches in Louisiana postpone any activities that bring large groups of people together.
Last night I brought together a group of leaders and we reluctantly reached the consensus that in order to safe-guard our congregation and support efforts to suppress this virus, Faith Crossing will suspend corporate worship for two weeks, March 15, and March 22.

We are developing an on-line service option and details will be forthcoming on how you can worship with us from your homes for the next two Sundays. We will be providing regular updates via e-mail, Facebook and our webpage.
Effective as of today:

• All on-site church activities (classes, Wild Wednesday, etc.) are cancelled through March 28. Groups meeting off-site are encouraged to be wise and prayerful regarding meeting in person. If you have questions about your group please contact Pastor John (225) 347-1539.

• Please note that even though we are not meeting for worship we still have bills to pay and continuing financial obligations. Faith Crossing still needs your gifts to continue our ministries. Please consider mailing your weekly tithe or offering to Faith Crossing UMC, 34260 Walker North Rd., Walker, LA 70785 or giving electronically through PayPal or Zelle. Click HERE for details about giving options.

• If you become sick please let Carolyn Dupre or Pastor John know so that we can offer you prayer and support.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor John
